Blind Auditions Kick Off on "The Voice"
Terry McDermott kicked off the evening with "Teenage Wasteland." Adam, Cee Lo, and Blake loved it but didn't turn around until the last five seconds of the performance. The Scottish performer probably would have been biting his nails had he not been singing. Luckily for McDermott the three males enjoyed his performance. Subsequently, the first judge to be picked during the blind auditions was Blake.
De'borah, a young 25-year-old woman from Chicago, IL was an amazing girl. When she changed her looks people stopped accepting her in the church choir where her parents work. Standing out in her hot pink outfit and a personality to match she stated, "I'm into love I'm not into the gender thing."
She killed the song "Hey, Soul Sister" impressing both Cee Lo and Christina. "I had so much fun just listening to you," said Christina. De'borah choose Christina as she remembered a song of Aguilera's that inspired her.
Country knock-out Gracia Harrison's "I want be your cowboy sweetheart" captivated all three male judges when the beautiful blond started yodeling in her country boots and cute short white dress. "By far you are the best country artist we've had on the show," said Adam. Christina had fun watching the men woo and fight for her attention with a slight smirk on her face. Blake was so impressed with the natural talent that Harrison had as a country artist. She choose Blake to be her coach.
Another gorgeous beauty with a voice that impressed Christina was Devyn Deloera. Singing Christina's song "Ain't No Other Man" had to be hard for the young girl. "That's a really hard song to sing live because it's so quick and you have to make sure you don't run out of breath. I loved it," said Christina. Male judges Cee Lo and Adam looked like they wanted to die as Deloera choose Christina. Largely in part to the brunette's incredible beauty perhaps.
Singing the stand out performance of the night, Bryan Keith came on stage with "It Will Rain." Blake turned around after the first note. Christina and Cee Lo pushed their buttons just as quickly. Adam compared the four button push as a domino effect as the young man was so talented. Not only does Keith have a stunning voice but he's also a good-looking guy. Keith choose Adam to be his coach.
Joe Kirkland "Gives You Hell" made Adam and Blake spin around in seconds. Kirkland also choose Adam.
Another outstanding performance of the night went to the humble soul-singer Trevin Hunte, who sung the famous Beyonce song "Listen." Hunte impressed Christina at first note. The only judge who didn't press his button was Adam shocking viewers and judges alike.
Hunte was the only singer of the night to receive a standing ovation from the judges. "You got all three of us to stand to our feet," said Christina. Adam claimed that he was afraid of the three other judges and didn't want to go up against them. Hunt went for Team Cee Lo.
