Stand-Out Performances on Last Night’s Episode of “The Voice”
The theme that resonated throughout the performances on "The Voice" last night was definitely "unique."
The girls in the audience went wild when 23-year-old husband and father of two Jonathas sung his rendition of “Got it Bad.” Born in Brazil, the young man learned English through listening to music.
Immediately Blake looked to the other judges and commented, “Guy’s gotta be good-looking the way they’re acting.” The soft and sultry voice of the singer stole Cee Lo and Christina’s attention as they turned their chairs around to “battle it out” for a chance at Jonathas on their teams.
Cee Lo claimed he thought it was a prank. “I thought it was actually Usher,” said Cee Lo. Very curious at what was causing all of this commotion behind her chair, Christina smiled and stated after turning around, “It is clear that the ladies love Jonathas here today.”
Although he was a fan of both of the judges, Jonathas said to Christina, “I was in fifth grade when “Genie in a Bottle” came out. I’ve always had the hots for you.” He did choose Christina as his coach while she beamed with excitement.
Street performer 21-year-old Naia Kete, came out with dreadlocks and a bluesy, strong, and airy voice. Singing “The Lazy Song,” she aroused Blake’s attention immediately which isn’t easy for any of the contestants to do so far this season.
When Cee Lo turned around Blake was not happy. “What’s wrong with you?” Blake playfully said to Cee Lo.
When Kete said, “Cee Lo you push all my buttons,” laughter roared throughout the crowd. “First time I’ve heart that overt flirtation coming from the other person,” said Adam.
Even though it appeared to everyone that Kete would choose Cee Lo, Blake won her over by saying, “The minute you started singing you just made me smile. Instantly I just fell in love with your voice.”
Kete admitted that her “gut” told her originally to go with Cee Lo, but as she stated, she had to "go with her gut" at the moment and choose Blake.
The judges made it clear that they were looking for unique and different voices last night. “I think we are all gravitating toward unique vocalists,” said Blake after hearing Charlotte Sometimes.
Charlotte’s rendition of “Apologize” couldn’t have been any more unique as all four judges fought for her to be on their teams.
Once again Christina and Adam raised eyebrows and brought laughter to the set when Adam said that Charlotte had a “Kind of cool simple thing.” Immediately Christina commented, “I don’t think it was simple. I think you are unique and individual.”
The highlight of the night for all fans occurred when Cee Lo uttered, “You guy’s should get a room man.” “No stop. Nasty,” said Christina in disgust. I wonder how Adam’s girlfriend felt about the outright sexual tension that may be causing some of the disputes between the two rival judges.
Charlotte went with Blake, but we had to admit that Christina and Adam’s quarrel and possible sexual tension was a lot more interesting then her choice of judges.
Get ready for Season 3 of “The Voice.” Yesterday on NBC’s TODAY Show Adam Levine announced that all four judges have signed on for another season!
Still to come- What were Levine’s thought’s on romance?

Claws Came Out Last Night for Pip on "The Voice"
As expected, the mood was tense and "words" were exchanged amongst all of the judges last night on "The Voice." However, fans just can’t get enough of Adam and Christina’s very heavy and almost shocking display of dislike for one another.
If anyone stood out last night it was bright-eyed and bow-tied Pip. He won over all the coaches with his rendition of “The House of the Rising Sun.” The feud between Christina and Adam escalated as they were pleading their cases to be Pip's coach.
Adam was the first to turn his chair around stating, “You are what epitomizes the show because I had no idea what to expect before I turned around.” Following his statement Adam added, “I would be great for you. I really would.”
Christina threw in a punch that surprised even 19-year-old Pip. “I’ve been doing this many, many years, said Christina. “And you know what? I did have success before Maroon 5 came along.”
The look on Adam’s face of course was priceless and angry. Pip even replied, “Low blows!”
Ultimately Pip went with Adam as his coach because he was the first judge to show interest and turn his chair around for young Pip.
Christina was clearly not happy throwing both thumbs down saying, “Boo! Boo!”
Can the tension between Adam and Christina get any more juicy?

Tomorrow- More Contestants To Come On “The Voice.”
As we patiently await for the new episode of “The Voice,” tomorrow on NBC at 8/7 central time, many fans are still watching re-runs this weekend, captivated by last week’s performances.
Who can forget Kim Yarbrough’s version of “Tell Me Something Good” that prompted more than her scoring Adam as a coach.
Prior to Yarbrough’s song, Christina had commented to Adam, “How many is that for you?” To which he replied with an angry tone in his voice, “Don’t worry about it." Since then we’ve been talking all week about the battle between Christina and Adam.
If this is just the start of the competition what are the battle rounds going to be like? Christina and Adam are not holding back this season which is reality TV at it’s finest.
Will "The Voice" Coaches Win Tonight?
"The Voice" fans will be on the edge of their seats tonight to see if one of their favorite judges wins a Grammy. Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Shelton are the judges "The Voice" fans want to win.

Contestants and Judges Turn Up the Heat on “The Voice”
It was a pressure cooker of fun last night for audiences and fans alike as the blind auditions continued on “The Voice.”
Pressure was on for the coaches to pick the best artist and convince them to join their team, according to the show’s host Carson Daly.
The show started with some of Prince’s greatest hits performed by the judges. Revving up the crowd beginning with “Tonight we’re gonna party” following a Cee Lo solo of “Little red corvette.” Adam Levine hit it off with his signature high notes with “I want to be your lover,” and closing the montage was Blake’s rendition of “You don’t have to be rich.”
Immediately the quad returned to their judges seats as the competition lit up and held steady throughout the night.
“American Girl” was the first song of the night sung by Hailey & Leland who call their duo “The Line.” Although the two claim they are not a couple, they still describe themselves as an old married couple. They met in an interesting fashion as well. Leland asked Hailey, “Do you want a shot of Jack?” For clarification that is Jack Daniels that brought them together. As a viewer what could we expect from these two preppie yet odd couple?
The country rendition of the song they sang which was okay, sparked Blake’s interest immediately. All judges began to press their buttons and turn around. When Adam pressed his button Blake flew his arms in the air, jumped out of his chair and shouted, “No.” Could he possibly be a little intimidated by Adam? The duo ultimately choose Christina to be their coach. Blake’s comment to that decision jokingly of course was, “Fooled by flash and boobs.”
Jamar Roger’s unbelievable story made all viewers route for this man. He had triumphed over his drug addiction to crystal meth, and was homeless for awhile thereafter. He found out that because of his drug use he was HIV positive. Roger’s positive attitude about his future reflected in his comment, “There’s beauty that does come from ashes.”
Roger’s, a fan of Cee Lo, was ecstatic when after singing his rendition of “Seven Nation Army” Cee Lo was the first to turn around. “I’ve been a hard-core fan,” said Rogers. “You’re the reason I auditioned for this show.” The incredible story and acceptance from Cee Lo, was exciting for fans as he made it onto Cee Lo’s team.
The next singer up to bat was Gwen Sabastion who grew up singing with her family. An emotionally charged Sabastion said she was putting her dreams of family and kids on hold for her ultimate dream of a singing career.
As she began to sing “Stay” you could hear the breathtaking, unique, and beautiful voice coming from the depths of her soul. It looked as though Blake and Cee Lo would be the only judges to battle it out, until Adam turned his chair around at the last minute.
Once again discouraging Blake. “Damnit,” said Blake. “You bastards. You’re just doing this to get under my skin.” Teary-eyed Gwen praised the judges and choose Blake as she stated “her heart is country.”

Recap of the Premier of Season 2 “The Voice”
“The Voice” Season 2 started off with a bang last night when 17-year-old Rae Lynn stepped onto the stage singing Miranda Lambert’s song “ Hell on Heels.” Blake and Adam battled it out to be her coach, but as Rae Lynn had said prior to her additions, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are her favorite singers. “I can’t wait for Miranda to hear that version,” said Blake. Rae Lynn picked her favorite Blake Shelton to be her coach.
Next up was Jesse Campbell singing a soulful version of “A song for you.” After his wife left him, Campbell had been a single father and was homeless for a while. Making his living singing at churches and weddings has been his lot in life until last night.
Immediately after hearing him sing only a few notes, Christina, Cee Lo, and Adam turned around. Blake turned around as well, giving Campbell four choices to pick from to be his coach.
“The competition is on,” said Christina. “From the moment you opened up your mouth I said that’s my man that’s my brother,” said Cee Lo. “You blew me away,” was Adam’s comment. Ultimately Christina won him over as Campbell said “You said you would fight for me and I’m ready to fight.”
24-year-old Floridian Juliet Simms had been playing at coffee houses before entering “The Voice” competition. After singing her rendition of “Oh! Darling” the feud, to put it mildly, was on between Christina and Adam for her to be on their teams. Christina snidely remarked, “Hi my name is Adam I’m gonna sell you a car right now.” Which Adam barked back, “If selling a car means winning the voice then I sell cars.”
To calm the tension that Cee Lo who was also vying for her as a team member, and was sitting in the middle of the two judges, said there was “sexual tension” between Christina and Adam as the audience proceeded to laugh. Looks like it may be another great year of feuding between the fair-haired beauty and the rock star.
Ultimately Simms choose Cee Lo, perhaps the fighting scared her away from Adam and Christina. However Christina proceeded to get up and immediately run over to hug it out with Adam. Which appeared to be a bit fake, because these two just don’t seem to like each other at all.
Chris Mann surprised all of us including the judges with his opera rendition of “Because we Believe.” His mom having been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Mann stated, “I would love to win "The Voice" for my mom.”
Obviously the opera song caught us all off guard audience and judges included. Ce Lo and Christina turned around however. Mann stated, “I decided for this show I was gonna just sing like myself.” He felt the understanding of Christina as she expressed in the industry the problems of following into a niche and with the success she’s had by being herself, Mann choose Christina.
The last chance for Levine to grab a team member for the night had landed. All the other three judges had teams of at least one contestant, so he needed the last person to pick him. Oddly enough, the last man of the day was Tony Lucca, former “Mickey Mouse Club” member who had performed with Christina in the past.
Lucca wondered if she would recognize him. As he began to play “Trouble” Levine immediately turned around. Christina turned around as well with a certain quirky smile and laugh to add to it. All four judges turned around eventually. Luckily for Levine he was able to get a member on his team. “Please, please, for the love of God pick me,” said Levine prior to Lucca’s decision.
Lucca realized that Christina possibly didn’t even recognize who he was. However Christina got out of her chair and went backstage because she did in fact recognize him. Reunited with a hug as she met his family, she teased him about Brittaney Spears having such a big crush on him back in the “Mickey Mouse Club” days.
Tonight the pandemonium continues as the coaches battle it out for contestants to join their teams once again. A special performance by all of the coaches will also be tonight. Tune into NBC tonight's episode of "The Voice" at 8/7 central to see who makes the cut.
